“Is there any easy way to keep my wheels clean?”

Well good news, finally some ones come up with a product that actually works. After running tests of this product on a Jerry Claytons BMW for the last 4 months we have found that cleaning the wheels is easier, and the carbon deposits that usually build up have not taken up residency as they usually do.

We shouldn’t be doubting Kiwi’s, doing our own tests as this product that is manufactured in Australia has been used by them for the past year gaining such support it’s now exported to the USA and other parts of the world.

Slipstream Wheel Bling is an innovative product specifically formulated to protect your aftermarket or factory wheels against brake dust build up and airborne contaminants. By creating a microscopic layer of reduced contact friction Slip Stream Wheel Bling prevents brake dust and dirt particles from electrostaticlly bonding to the wheel surface maintaining a cleaner surface.

Come and see us at 87 Barrys Point Rd to get your wheels protected today. Introductory offer get your wheels Blinged for $10 for the set.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to call 09 4887000 to discuss.

Every day I get asked “is there any way to remove this horrible scaling off my windows”?

The short answer is YES. In my many years of being involved in the car industry, I have been told various ways of removing lime scale from paintwork and windows including using vinegar, baking soda, car polish and Jif !!

All of the above led to frustration and sometimes permanent damage to the vehicle.

There is a simple way to remove scale from your windows that really works and is easy to do

I have found a product and system that works 100% guaranteed. Please contact me here and I will reveal the system.

Its Rob the car guy here. The most common question I get asked is “What is the difference between car wax and car polish?”

The simple answer is have you ever held a flame to wax!

When you use any brand of car wax this product is designed to leave your car with a glossy shiny finish.

Basic facts about wax:

1: Poor resistance to heat, so if you car is parked outside during work hours your wax will deteriorate within a week during summer and a quality product upto a month.

2:Poor resistance to acid, Acid is found in our rain fall also in bird droppings which effects us daily when our cars are not under cover. Should your car ever get egged the egg white also eats through wax.

3: Poor resistance to U.V. During the summer period waxes break down quickly and our cars coatings as our skin get sun burned.

Basic facts about car polishes:

1: All quality polishes contain a wax, sometimes canuba (natual wax) sometimes synthetic.

2: All quality polishes also contain silcones ( to help aid with the shine) and resins to help the wax adhere to your cars surface.

Lets talk about resins you could compare these to say finger nail polish. If your finger nail polish had no resins it would act alot like a wax look great but at the first point of contact it would rub off.

3: Quality polishes have a higher resistance to Acids, U.V and hot and cold water.

How long will a polish last? I get asked this every day at the car wash the answer.

Agian it depends on a number of circumstances lets generalise approx 4 to 6 months.

If you garage your car and wash it on a two weekly basis. You don’t leave it parked outside during its daytime life or left parked withen 100 metres to the spray zone of a beach you will get 4 to 6 months out of a polish application. Any of these factors will have an negitive effect on the longevity of your polish job.

As a basic rule wax your car if you are selling it or it is being used in a wedding on the weekend. Polish your car if you are looking to provide extra protection to your cars painted surface. I recommend always polishing as we come out of spring into summer and at the end of summer entering into autumn. This provides your baby with the ultimate protection.

If you are unable to polish your car yourself contact me on 021666043 to advise the best package for your car.

Remember their are alot of products on the market the first thing to identify is am I dealing with a car younger than 5 years? Has it being well maintaned? Or am I dealing with an oxidised or a car older than 5 years with little maintanace? This will guide the supplier into giving you the right product.

Auto detailing performs a comprehensive cleaning, polishing and waxing of the car, both inside and outside, to produce a quality show vehicle or a very tidy looking vehicle. The term “Auto Car Detailing” and the profession cropped up in the USA and has become a very sort after industry.

Car detailing gives an owner personal satisfaction and many car club owners are specialists in auto detailing and have their own favourite auto detailing products.

They use these car polishes, cleaners and waxes to prepare a car for the numerous car shows that appear around New Zealand

Besides improving the appearance of cars, detail helps keep the car in excellent condition thus protecting the value of the car, and thus increases the resale value.

History of the car wash

The first carwash was created in USA in the late 1930′s and was an instant hit with the carwash patrons. Being that the American cars were so large, the actual washing of the car and the polishing afterwards was a huge job for the owner.

So came along car polishes and waxes in quite basic forms but they did the job ok.

Carwash Products

Hand washing facilities where the vehicle is washed by the employees use carwash products and generally they charge more than when the owner washes the car themselves. The carwash products used vary on the condition of the car and range from alkaline based car cleaning detergents that are designed to remove road film and dirt plus alot of interior carwash products for the fabrics and vinyls
