How do i get rid of the clay like stuff on my door handle for my car. it is like built up grime that you can scratch of with your fingers and it is slightly oily in texture

    Hi Ken
Yes we can, depending on how heavy the marks are will denote the amount of time needed. Generally heavy staining will take 3/4 of an hour to complete the front, back and side windows.

Without seeing the grime, generally this is a high wear area have you tried a good cutter? Using a round applicator sponge and cutting pastewill usually take out the fingernail scratching and grime that builds up. Im happy for you to drop into our wash so I can see it if this doesn’t work.

    Hi Guys
I have a 1991 Toyota windom, the typical dark metallic green model. I brought it as a hobby car. It had been repo’ed by the dealer and had sat in the yard for 2 years in Rotorua. It has been washed by one of those machines with chemicals in the water and never chamoised. That coupled with the rain and the atmosphere in Rotorua has led to a calcium build up along all ledges, door jambs, around badges, basically wherever water would sit if a car was not dried off properly. It also has bad water spotting on the paint and the plastic bumpers etc.
The paint is basically shot with sun burn on the roof and clearcoat delamination etc, but I like the car and want it to look its best.

I have done car grooming since I was at school in the 60s for various dealers, so am reasonably fussy about my cars Any ideas on the calcium build up and rain spotting? cutting just makes a mess!!

    Cheers
    Graham

    G’day Rob,
I’m contemplating having my new car minged as I like the idea of up to 3 years of protection. Is minging as good as the latest polishes? How do you rate the ming process.
    Cheers
    Tony

  7. carguy says:

    Hi Tony
Ming along with a lot of good quality branded polishes definitly add value to your car. Ming has a large range of polish products if you are refering to the paint protection products? then all I say is this, for all paint protection products the secret is in the preparation and application of the product. Make sure you have your cars paint work in the best condition possible as once you apply the protection layer it will seal in all old scratches and paint.
